I have been poking around for several years now and I finally am in need of help. I have a black on black mag with an X-valve, LX, ULE body, intelliframe and a 12" dye Ultralite. I LOVE my marker. It is dead on consistant and I can drop paint where ever in needs to go. I don't chop at all. The only problem is speed. I have a difficult time keeping in even small tourney's. Doing a pneumatic conversion is my number option but, I am not the most mechanically inclined. What about the ULE trigger kit. Would I be able to practice enough to walk the trigger? The UMF from Logic seems to be very expensive. Does anybody have any experience with it? Sorry for the long post but I am looking to make my mag a true performer and show over close minded newbies how to play. Thanks ahead for the help.

Well all 3 options are good, they just suit 3 different purposes:Originally posted by jshelto3I have been poking around for several years now and I finally am in need of help. ULT-price, simplicity (in theory
)
Pneumag- performance and customization
Logic frame- is a pneumag essentially, but a drop in deal with no fuss essentially.
I would recommend the ULT since it is an inexpensive option and not a great loss if you are not satisfied with it. I havent really got to use mine yet, but you wither like it or you hate it. Apparantly it needs some breaking in before it really starts to perform fo you. -
Your options are slim now due to PTP's new patent. PTP is supposed to be introducing a pnuemag frame/conversion or kit (it hasnt been established yet to what they are actually offering) soon but those who have done the conversion in the past have ceased production on it for fear of legal repercussions. There was a thread around here that sold a kit with everything needed for the conversion (minus the lpr) for under 50.00 but I havent seen it in awhile. I know one guy was doing the conversion for 130.00 as long as you had your own lpr, but due to the new patent, your best bet is doing it yourself.Originally posted by jshelto3I do believe you are right. I biggest concern about the ULT is the ability to walk the trigger. I just don't know how possible it will be. If I wanted to get a pneumatic conversion done, what are my options and about how much would the price run?Comment

with a triggerwith set screws and trial and error with the ult you can make it walkable. You will freak out the first time you put 2-3 shims in it and realize the difference.
Also what kind of PSI are you putting through it. I run about 1000-1200 through my mechs and the reactivity makes it very easy to hit higher bps without relying on sweetspotting.Comment

Right now I am running a dye stubby, which is about 850psi. Where can I find information about the PTP product and the information about its release. I remember a good while ago, something about patents and infringments. This was one reason the Hair trigger went away.Comment

With some patience to learn the technique and letting the ULT break in, you should be able to walk the trigger just fine.Originally posted by jshelto3I do believe you are right. After doing some reading, I do believe I would only be interested in doing a pneumatic mod if anything. All mech and fast as anything just makes me smile. I just need to figure out the best route for me to go about getting this done. I live on campus at a university so I don't have access to the proper tools to build my own according to the sticky with the how-to build on pneumags. Are there any people who still do the work now in the fall or am I going to have to wait for a company to put one out?Comment
