    ReTro valve ?

a buddy's retro valve , the power tube was unscrewing from the main valve body , there was an o-ring in there but it was too big 1st ? is there supposed to be an o-ring in there , all the valve breakdowns that i've seen don't show the powertube coming off . 2nd ? should the powertube be locktited to the main part of the valve

Yes, there is an O ring on the valve body where the power tube screws on. Its thin, and a reddish color. You won't find it in a rebuild kit. You will need to call AGD and ask them for a powertube base O ring......

That piece doesn't normally come off. It's mainly a manufacturing joint. He will probably want to put some blue thread locker on it when he gets a new oring.
