    Classic Rail question

On the AGD web page for ULE bodies it says:

Note: If you want to put this on an Automag/Classic or Minimag, you will need to press the twist lock assembly out of the rail. Also, this ULE body will not fit the old Automag RT. See the RT Upgrade Package, below.

Could you tap it out gently using a punch? From the top or bottom of the rail?

    Thanks!

Turn your rail upside down and use a rubber mallot to tap it out. If you don't have a rubber mallot, cover the twist lock assembly with a cloth so it doesn't get scratched and use a regular hammer.

I think you'll cut right thru any cloth.
Use a piece of bar stock aluminum or a piece of hard wood.

i got a piece of wood with a hole in it, and placed the wood on two crates, one on each side. flipped the rail upside down with the twist-lock in the hole, hammered it out with rubber hammer,

I used some cloth and a pair of vise grips. This way I squeezed it out without smacking it with a mallot/hammer/rock.

Once I got the teeth of the grips lined up just right, it came out easily.
