    Twistlock Assembly removal?

How do I remove the twist lock assembly from my Emag? Although I was able to put my ULE body onto it without removing it, it took a lot of work to hold the spring down. Any suggestions? Do I just hammer the damn thing out?

Hammer and you take the chance of slipping and scratching. Use a vise (protecting the rail with a rag or two of course) and a small socket then press it out.
By the way, where in SoCal are you?

I set it on a rug and hit it firmly with a hammer from the bottom side.

If you're going to whack it with a hammer... put a piece of aluminum over it so you don't destroy it unless you're just going to throw it away after anyway.

I didn't mean literally destroy the thing. It's always useful to have spare parts, even if I never plan on using the twistlock assembly. I was just asking on tips for removing it. I didn't really know what it was when I hurriedly assembled it yesterday before work; I thought it was some spring to hold tension on Emags. It wasn't until I got home from work and had enough time to sit down that I read up on what it was. I'll see what I can do tonight when I get home. I may just transfer everything to my Shadow rail.

I got it out. I held the hammer in one hand, and the rail in the other. Gave it a few smacks, and out popped the assy. Thanks for the help you guys.
