    classic RT trouble

I have decided to get my old RT back running and im having some problems. When i gas it up it just leaks down the barrel and the sear does absolutely nothing. I have a lvl 10 in it with the smallest carrier and no shims. I cant figure out whats goin on and could use some help. Ive tried adding shims and swapping carriers but nothing works. Any help would be appreciated.

You might need to replace the o-ring inside the carrier if it's worn out.

You mentioned that you have the smallest carrier installed... when you were testing the other sizes, did the smallest just slide off the bolt? Or was it somewhat tight? If even the smallest is falling off, you def. need a new o-ring.
If it's tight, it could have to do with shims.

There's a few Level10 experts on this board that could probably help a little more than me though. Just my 2cents

It fits on the tube snug like it should, but its still leaking like crazy I tried 2 shims, 1 shim, and no shims and its the same every time. I even put an old lvl7 in it with a 215 spacer and it did the same.

Oooh... does it still leak when you hold down the trigger? If so, it could be your on/off. check those o-rings for wear.

If it doesn't leak when holding the trigger down, I'm not quite sure where the leak would be. It's usually a level 10 problem at that point.

Sounds to me like you have some major leaking in your on/off valve. Check the o-rings. Probably need to replace a couple of them.
Make sure you use plenty of oil too, esp. since you probably haven't used it in a while.

Hopefully there's nothing wrong in the RT valve. I pretty much know nothing about that. I just got an X-Valve and won't even open it unless I absolutely need to.

Yeah take a look at your on/off assembly and the on/off oring in the valve body. Lube them like crazy and replace them if needed.

Try gassing up your marker with the trigger held down. If it leaks when you do this the problem is in the on/off area.

I just got in a new on/off and i havent gassed it up yet. If this doesnt fix it im probably pretty well hosed since that means the valve is most likely the problem but we'll see. I did however manage to get the leaking to stop but the trigger is still dead.
