    LX Classic valve not shooting?

ok, so i've tried tuning my LX classic valve, and its not working out too well.

I've picked a carrier that doesnt leak, but i think i may be getting bolt stick. i'm using gold spring.

I'm using the 1.5 carrier, with 2 shims. the 2.0 carrier leaks a bit down the barrel after a couple shots. maybe I need more shims? I only have 2, the valve only came with that many. if anyone wants to donate some, i'll be very grateful.

but the problem is, with this carrier, sometimes the gun locks up, and I get a spongy trigger. it wont shoot. sometimes i can push the bolt back and it'll reset the sear, and other times it doesnt need to be pushed back, it just wont shoot.

could my trigger pin be too short? could this be a problem also? is there any way it could be classic on/off as well? the reg? I've turned the velocity up to the point where it leaks out the back, and it only sometimes shoots, then it locks up again.

this never happened before, maybe it just has something to do with the bolt problem i had earlier, that i posted about in this very forum.

EDIT: before anyone asks, I'm running CO2. always been, even on a LX, and its worked fine before i changed valves.

Your symptoms indicate bolt stick. When you were sizing your carriers, did you always use the same carrier oring and have no shims installed? If not, then go to the next larger carrier using the same oring you are using now and remove all shims from your powertube. If that is not the problem, then try a new oring and retune.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
