    Pneumaggin' a Z-Grip

    Hey guys,

Out of morbid curiosity, do you think it'd be possible to use a Z-Grip as the basis for a Pneumag frame? In combination with the [only] blade trigger available for the Z, I think it'd be a potent breath of fresh air into my setup... Not to mention it'd be flat-out badass. Ideally I'd like to get another Z-Grip to use as the foundation so I still have the option of using a standard mechanical version (so if you're looking to sell one please let me know!). At this point I know relatively little about them, so any input regarding the dimensions of the Z-Grip and the potential difficulty I might encounter doing a conversion would be sincerely appreciated!

    Regards,

well no ones replied to my pneumag thread so I'll reply to yours.

I actually just received a Zgrip with the pneumatics ready to install. I decided to buy some new parts from airsoldier since I didnt like the look of some of the pieces. So I'm currently in the midst of a pneumatic Z-grip.

you'll have to machine/mill/dremel the top of the grip out a little to accommodate the actuator. You may also encounter problems if the grip frame itself has not been milled out. I'll get you pictures of what my frame looks like later

Holy ****... That's pretty much exactly what I've been hoping to accomplish but with a different color scheme (like hell I'm going to find an inexpensive X-mag body though). Oh, to be me...

So I'm assuming that milling out the Z-Grip is an absolute must? I have full access to the machine shop at Southwest Research Institute so I'm sure if I bought the parts I could look around and mill only where necessary - being able to continue to use .45 grips would be nice (then again I've never seen Luke's grips in person so I may be passing judgment a little early). Thanks for the reply, guys.
