on/off pin question

Sorry if this has been covered before but I need to ask.
I recently purchased an emag valve to replace my mini valve with rt on/off.
I noticed that the pin length on the emag valve is a few mm shorter that the rt on/off. Will this effect the markers function and do I need to use the longer the pin?

The emag on/off should work fine. If it goes auto then use the longer RT pin.
