What you describe is "sweet spotting" the trigger. In other words holding the trigger down just enough to get the valve to cycle but not allow the sear to catch and hold the bolt. The only way to do this is to increase your input pressure into the regulator with an adjustable tank. You can't do it with C02 as you need much more then the 700-800 psi you get off of that.

As you increase the input pressure into the valve, the trigger goes more 'reactive' and with a little practice, you can get to where you are on that sweet spot and the valve is cycling like an AK 47... don't expect to do it for long though as it also drops the efficiency of the mag way way down so it will drain your tank in no time..

There used to be a clip of Zack Vetter doing this with an RT pro and an unregulated scuba tank though I haven't seen it in ages.

You will also need a new/different valve. The sweet spotting can only be achieved with a reactive valve. The valve actually pushes the trigger back allowing you to sweet spot the trigger.

This can be accomplished with any RT Valve. Which I believe is valves marked RT/E-Mag/X-valve/X-Mag as well as a few others.

Unfortunatly classic/minimag valves will not do it.
