Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but is there a downside to buying a field rental mag?

I think the main issue is that the velocity can only be adjusted up to 270/280 fps, and no higher. I could be wrong, but that's what I have heard.

The main thing is that the power tube isn't drilled out fully which restricts the velocity to about 280 (no biggy) and it will not accept a level 10 kit without being drilled out (cleanly). If you search for 'field rental' on the forum, you'll find some better details.

You can tune them up like a classic. They have gone for really cheap sometimes. I would love to make a sleeper FIELD RENTAL. Bumper sticker - "My FIELD RENTAL pwned your Ion"
