Take off the grip panels and actuate the sear with an allen wrench or screwdriver. Does the marker fire?
I am thinking that the sear to trigger rod might be too short.Comment

Ok, if the trigger is spongy, that means that pressure is at least getting to there. Let's see if it is getting to the bolt.
Assemble your marker with no bolt or bolt spring. Gas it up very slowly (be ready to turn off the gas) and see if it leaks down the barrel. If so, the problem lies in the bolt sticking.Comment

Ok no bolt, lots of air (pull trigger air stops). progressOriginally posted by secretweaponevanOk, if the trigger is spongy, that means that pressure is at least getting to there. Let's see if it is getting to the bolt.

Cool, that means that air is getting to the bolt and your on/off is working properly.
Start reading the stickies on how to tune a lvl 10. If you got the whole lvl 10 bolt kit, underneath the foam is a mini CD-ROM that will walk you through how to tune it.
Good luck.Comment

How did you max out the velocity? If you didn't get it to vent, you probably did not max it out, or there is a problem with your reg piston, because the symptoms you are describing are indicative of pressure (adjusted via velocity adjuster) being too low to overcome o-ring "sticktion" and bolt spring pressure.Originally posted by AJoeMaxed out the velocity. It wont vent either
Did you try a shorter bolt spring?
What valve are you using, an RT pro, or X-valve?Comment

tryed the shortest spring (lvl7)
I have 3 different reg pistons one brand new same symptoms. not venting when I have the reg adjuster screwed all the way in is either a symptom or part of the problem.
I have new reg springs also.Comment

Are you replacing the entire contents of the power tube and the bolt? or just swapping the bolt spring?Originally posted by AJoeRT pro.

Well, since we know that air is getting to the bolt and that the on/off is working correctly (from the "no bolt gas up test") it almost has to be that the reg is not adjusting high enough to overcome the bolt spring/o-ring stiction.
Anyone else have any ideas?
Be sure to check out this PDF from airgun designs to make sure that you are putting everything back together correctly. Triple check it just to be sure.
