    Max-Flow help, leak

Sorry if this has been covered, I tried looking through the search before turning to you guys directly

I recently picked up this bottle and reg hoping for the RT effect out of my Tac. I finally got around to getting it filled today and wanted to make sure everything was up to par before playing Saturday. Well I can't get the output pressure up over 200 psi with out the valve/fitting (I guess it's a pressure protection valve?) leaking out until I back off the adjustment knob.

    Here's what I'm talking about.

After getting this reg/bottle I also made a trade for another reg and bottle. I tried to swap this valve out with the one from the other reg , still no good, same problem . I even tried switching ports from top to bottom.

Did I happen to get stuck with two low press. valves or what? Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance!

    SB

*Edit* While looking through pics in the gallery and the Zak Vetter site it seems that this valve is not there on alot of other peoples set ups. SO, I guess I'll just remove it and give it a go? DUH!

the part you have circled is a relief valve , does the same thing as a burst dics , should be rated at about 1250 psi , if you can read the fine print it should have a rating on it , it shouldn't be leaking at 200 psi
It's probley not a good idea just to plug it it should have a r/v or a burst disc , but I think it's pipethread (1/8") so i'm not sure if a burst disc will go in
bye the way that is a 1st gen max flo IINM

Well I'm getting lots and lots of High Pressure out of it now. I'm thinking I'm in need of a rebuild though. I start off with the output around 900psi and slowly it creeps up to over 1200 after firing it for awhile. It's gone high enough to destroy two of the gauges I've tried.

        Thanks for the replies!

that system was made for the old shoebox shocker/impy so it should relief pressure at 200psi, im not sure/remember if it is as simple as just changing the springpack to make it highpressure you have to change the reliefvalve anyway.
