    OLD school

I got a couple of questions I was hoping to get some advice on. I have been playing paintball for about a year now and I have fell in love with autocockers. There is just something about the click-clack of the black block that catches my eye. I own a e2 mini-orracle and it has worked flawlessy. Only thing is I am scared to take it into the woods for fear of beating it up. I was building my own autococker but everytime I think I have it fixed something else is leaking. I am looking into buying a back up marker that is really reliable and can take a beating. I like accuracy and something that has a solid feel to it. I am trying to stay away from electro's and I want something milsim looking. I have an old PEC master that I got when I was younger. It's a great marker, but its so old I can't run HPA of off it. Every couple of shots the bolt doesn't catch and it sounds like I am out of air. First question is, is it possible and how difficult would it be to adapt this oldy so it can run HPA effectively? Second question, would it make more sense to purchase a minimag. I know the best answer would be to try out a mag first, but beings how I am deployed I won't be able to for awhile. I heard automags are really accurate and durable. I just want something that if I drop it, I can pick it up and keep on hitting what I am aiming at. Any and all input would be much appreciated. Also any ideas for a relaible back up marker that is not a Tippman would helpful as well.

Buy a mag as a backup. Probably one of the most, if not the most reliable markers out there. I will have two shortly, and that is all that I need. If you need speed, you can pneumag it. If not, leave it as is. If you want something light, X valve, and ULE it. If you don't care about weight, leave it. A very simple, yet customizable (IF that's a word) marker. And to top it off, whenever you have issues, you can always just post up a question here, and have answers w/in a day. What more can you ask for??? Good luck!!

I current;y have a pneumag in an airsoft P90 frame and an Ion... working on building another Mag since I have a Y-grip and a Z-grip... and plan on off-loading the Ion so that I'll have 2 mags as my primary and back-up.

Gotta love the mag. Durable and accurate!

Well, mags have the capability to be submerged completely in water, pull it out and keep firing. If you want it as a backup or main, either is great.

Thanks for the help. It definetly sounds like a mag is the way to go. Now all I got to do is convince the wife I NEED another paintball marker.
