    Opinions about MSV-2 for Pneumag...

    Hi everyone,
So I did the install for my pneumag, and I think I may made a stupid mistake and cut down the MSV-2 arm, rather than fabricate an extender for mounting purposes. I thought a shorter arm would make the trigger pull shorter because the pin would have to move a shorter distance to activate the MSV-2. Just wondering what everyone else has done for theirs and how they like it. Does it make a big difference when using a full arm? I played today with it, and it was shooting pretty well. But, I had some problems here and there. No broken paint, but I couldn't walk it. For those that didn't cut down the arm to the MSV-2, how has the pull been? Is it really long? Is it walkable? Basically, I am just trying to figure out if I should get another MSV-2 for $15 and try it, or just pull the pneumatics out and go back to mech. It's funny, but I could walk it before I did the conversion (When it was just a mech with a ULT), but now I can't. One thing I can say though is the trigger pull is so light. Anyways, any input is always appreciated. Thanks everyone.

It would make the pull heavier in exchange for a shorter pull.

My MSV-2 is cut to about the top of the body. The length of pull is about two millimeters (if that) and too light at times. If it is not resetting well for you, make sure everything is free to move, including the trigger, rod and MSV-2 lever. Give it a little more pressure than the minimum needed to trip the sear (if it's an RT on/off) if it is not resetting.

I do have a viper blade with the over travel stop in it, so the MSV-2 doesn't get pushed any further than necessary. I trimmed the trigger rod so that the safety works and I don't really need the pre-travel/take-up adjustment.
