Quick question,
Are the nickle/silver/chrome colored ULE bodies plated in any way, or are they anodized?

i.e. will the finish/plating have any tendency to chip?

Yes. Nickel/Chrome is plating. Its quality, so its unlikely it will chip. But it is possible.
