    New to me...ULE R/T Classic?

I am a bit confused, I did not think there were any ULE RT Classics?

    Was it custom made?

    Thanks for the discussion.

If you look at the left side pic, between the macroline fitting on the rail and the valve itself, you can see that little grey bit. That's custom made to use a ULE body on an RT.

Looks kinda wierd to me, blown valve? Angel reg? Looks like a good deal, but be well aware that it likely needs some work.

Have you received this marker yet? If you could take some better pictures of the valve and the rail I could probably provide you with a better idea of what was done. I suspect that the previous owner just switched the stock body with a ULE body. This would cause there to be a space between the back of the valve and the frame unless there is some kind of shim in there. This would mean that the banjo bolt is the only think holding the valve inplace. Basically the "Z" grove would be rendered useless.

As fas as the blown valve, I've never heard of this. I'd think that you could just inspect the valve. Any damage that you cause the valve not to function should be obvious. If no such damage is present, it is possible that you just need to rebuild the valve.

Just for kicks, I broke out my Classic RT and my RT Pro. I switched things around to get the configuration that I believe you have. Here are the problems that I noticed:

-There will be a space between the valve and the rail. This will render the z-pin useless and the banjo bolt will be the only thing preventing the valve from hitting you in the face. I'd hate to see what would happen if the banjo bolt broke.

-You are going to apply a torque to the valve when the banjo bolt is tightened. This could cause other things in the valve/bolt assembly to become misaligned.

Theres a thread that Im going to link you to about this very part someome said they made to get the classic R/T valve to work with a ULE body.

Check this thread for the direct link to the part

Check this thread out for the discussion,...
This whole thread is good because alot of us that have converted a classic R/T into something else with updates argue and agree on ALOT of things. Good information inside here.

Credit goes to TAW for the part idea.

Theres nothing wrong with that R/T (from what I can see).

If that thing shoots paint,.. let it fly!
