    Question about SpyderFrame:Will this frame work?

    Will a frame off of a Kingman Spyder MR-2 Work for a Spyder mag? I bought one and I was just wondering...Has anyone done a conversion with this type of frame before?

    any spyder frame should work. as long as its a metal one and not a cheap knockoff off plastic frame, id say go for it.

        Last time a saw a Spyder frame, the noid was facing the top while, to work in a Mag, it should face the rear of the frame. Also, one would have to one space for the sear to travel. How do you do it? Any pics? Thanks!

          If you search through the forum for "Spydermag" you'd probably find a bit of info.

          Luke used to offer services to do a conversion where the Spyder solenoid/sear would work in conjunction with the mag sear, but required modifying both sears (and a lot of precision)

          A few others have "simply" flipped the solenoid around so that it faced rear of the frame to actuate the mag sear lever. The problem w/ this is that it required a lot of cutting of the frame and to position it just right to work with the sear can be a pain in the neck.

          At one point I had been looking into doing this conversion myself but opted for a pneu-frame instead. I may revisit the project again someday...

          Oddly enough, it seems that a year ago this mod was highly sought-after but now it's almost taboo (just my impression) I don't know if it's because of using Kingman products on a Mag or just the popularity of keeping the Mag mechanical.

              If your Gripframe's solenoid is "horizontal" it will work well. I thought the same thing bout using "eew spyder " parts but chose to go ahead and build it, but I didnt go half ***. I am going to show you some shortcuts to web pages that made me change my mind. Prepare to be blown away.. beleve it or not!

              The first page is the home page to the trigger setup I have. The "clicker" has been replaced! (never jams) These guys make a trigger too, It works along with this sensor. I compare it to my friends 07 EGO (I have a T-Board in my grip) it rivals his EGO
              SHORTCUT= http://www.x-customs.com
              look up these two items on there site : X-Customs NV(Trigger) and (Hall Effect) sensor
              I bought the two in the kit,(trigger w/magnet & Sensor) My friend likes my spydermag as much as his EGO This is not very well known so keep the secret and make yer friends soil themselvs when you rip 20bps with minnimal effort , It puts quality back into yer mag (if you have a spydermag) mags are classy as is.. this is iceing on the cake. enjoy and the T-Board http://www.scenariodreams.com/productpages/esp.htm
