questions regarding Valve stamped field rental

Hello was recentlt given a automag valve and bolt stamped "field rental" on the left side above the AGD logo. I am restoring a vintage mag and was wondering what if any differences there would be between a regular valve and this one. It seems to shoot well but the trigger pull is a little bit stiffer
Thanks in advance for the info Dave

There's a restrictor in the powertube to limit the fps. I think that's it. You can drill it out I believe.

Yup, the Field Rental valves were basically 68 classic A.I.R. valves with a restricted power tube and likely a series 7 bolt.

** Take reg off valve front, pull out on/off assm, Unscrew the power tube tip, remove spacer & o-ring. Then drill out the tube restriction with a 3/16" drill. ( BTW, restriction is only about 1/8" thick. Wash it out and make sure no metal chips are in it, reassemble.

** Make sure you don't loose the 2 o-rings that likely will stay in the bottom of on/off hole.
If given the choice ? DO NOT REMOVE THEM unless you have NEW replacements. They will in most cases get damaged doing so and WILL leak.
