    Level 10 chopping! WHY?!?

Ay yi yi... got my x valve with ULT to finally shoot without bolt sticking (i think). but the only problem is: it was chopping balls like a poop! blender i tell ya...

I'm using the line carrier with two shims, ULT with 6 shims, and a level 7 bolt spring. my guess is that it was the spring, so i switched it with an uncut silver level 10 spring, but it made the bolt unable to move (the sear was erected , but it wouldnt wouldn't shoot or anything react to a trigger pull).

so whats up!?!? i put my finger is to see if the level 10 (with level 7 spring) was soft on the balls, and it definitely wasn't. have the bruise to show ya

use the silver spring, and turn up your velocity. The reason your sear will not set is because your bolt doesnt have enough pressure to go foward, and will not have enough pressure to reset untill you get it to move fully foward.

If you use a longer spring, then you need to turn up the velocity, as MANN said. The pressure required to overcome the extra spring force requires more chamber pressure, hence the need to turn up the velocity adjuster.

There's no need to cut the spring unless you can't get it to shoot below 300fps, or whatever velocity you're trying to achieve.

If you jumped from the gold spring to the long spring, you definately need to increase the velocity setting to compensate. If you can't get below the desired velocity while maintaining operation, you should use the middle spring instead.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
