    Stars anyone?

first off, I *think* this is my first post here.. don't really remember, but anyway.. I've been a member for a while now and I have to say that between AO and A5OG I don't know of a better place to find pretty much ANY information I need from intelligent, respectful, and mature people. Thanks so much for that!

Anyway, to the matter at hand. I've searched all over and I can't seem to find out what the stars mean on the AGD A.I.R. Valve. So far I've seen mostly 1 star on various valved, but here and there I've seen as many as 4 or 5 stars. My 'mag has only 1 star, with a serial of CF65018 if that might mean anything.

Thanks again, and sorry if this is in the wrong place!

The stars are the warranty on mags, and stand for how many times you can get the mag repaired for completely free. When you send them in for a repair at AGD they punch out the star.

More info on the warranty here:

      What's up crudeidol.

The stars are AGD's warranty program that offers free rebuilds of the soft parts (o-rings, seals, etc) of the valve. Each star equals 1 free rebuild. But you still have to pay for shipping (around $40 total), which is more than if you just get a rebuild kit and do it yourself (and have extra spare parts leftover from the kit for later use).

        Hey Gusseppe! How goes it?

thanks a bunch for the quick relies! I'm not really worried about sending it in or anything, like you said, it'd be easier just to get a parts kit if I ever need to do any work.

Nope, the stars ever expire as long as you don't use them.

But if you have no stars on a 68automag valve, it means lifetime upgrades...except they don't respect the lifetime deal anymore.

I bought an Automag in 1992, what sort of upgrades (if any) can I get for this 'Mag?
