Palmers Female Stab on an RT Automag

Im thinking about getting a female stab for my RT, but I want to make sure of something.
The female is the horizontal one right? The one that'll go where the ASA originally is.

The only time you would need a stabilizer for a mag is if you have a classiv valved mag.
Otherwise you will starve your mag.

but to answer your quesiton, the female does mount where a normal asa would mount. It allows you to screw the tank directly into it.

Female stabilizers are commonly mounted horizontally under the grip frame and also serve as an ASA. To do that, you need the mounting bracket.

Why do you want to double reg your Automag? Unless you are running CO2, you don't need the Stabilizer because the regulator built into your valve will do all you need. If you don't have an HPA tank, put your money into an HPA tank instead of a Stabilizer.

        A bit off topic...
but I was wondering what the difference is between a stabalizer and a regulator? Are the one and the same?

The Palmer Stabilizer IS a regulator, it is a product name only, not a different type of mechanism.

It is however, widely regarded as one of the best regulators on the market. Most consistent, highest flow, widest range of input and output pressure, and fully CO2 tolerant; its actually better for using with CO2 then an expansion chamber. The Stabilizer also comes in a wide variety of configurations (other then the standard male screw-in ASA threads), to accomodate almost any custom setup.

Ah really? I didn't know the valve could basically do the same thing.
Still kind of new to mags, but I guess I learned something today.

Thanks guys, saved me some money :)
