    Re-adding twist lock assembly

    Hey guys,
I removed my twist lock assembly in order to use a ULE body, but now I want to re-add it. Anyone know a good way to do this without screwing up the assembly? I've just been beating it with a wrench and kinda messed it up a little, but it still isn't in all the way.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

They way I re installed mine was by

First removed all the internals of the pin
get a wooden dowel (roughly small enough to sit inside the rail)
cover up the other side of the rail with some wood
Put the whole thin in a vise and tighten as much as possible.

The aluminum is much stronger than your typical 2x4 so itll tear into the wood before bending the metal. That should get it all the way in if tightened enough.

yea i bashed mine with like a hammer, once, and i was like oh no, cause it bent it a little, then the next thing i did was get a little metal rod and put it in a drill press, then pushed on the twistlock thing and it went it

I usually put the body back on the rail and use the front frame screw to squeeze the pin back in place.

That's what I've done. Fit the TWA in, place the body over it, and screw the rail and body together.
