Well.... it seems we got a call from Mother and the numbers for the alliance side was down so............. it seems Team Green Devils are playing the good guys for a change.

Still don't know.

Possibilities: It seems as though the Steel braided line may have been to short causing the valve to twist slightly. With the way the Logic Alpha rails are milled the valve just slides right in and it doesn't require a twist to, or cannot twist and be lock into a seated position on the rail.

Another possibility is the screws that were used on the dye sticky grips were interfering with the sear/trigger assembly and there were signs of where there was contact being made on it.

On/Off pin to short is also a possibility but was switched out for a longer one when other problems were being addressed so may or may have not been an issue.

Still getting a very slight bolt stick but I am sure its because of the new carrier O-ring needing broken in.

All I know is that it works now and in a few short days I am headed out of K.C. and going to Disneyworld to shoot me some Horde Ogres!!!!!!!!!!

i have had this happen on a rt before so i know what you mean wear safety glasses when working on any marker that saves the eye at least i lost some plaster in my ceiling and got a scratch across the face before ......if the valve twists at all when trying to fire off the air it can do this a rail bushing seams to help stop this on mine but it was a ptp rt so i dunno but if after you remove the screw you cover the valve with a towel if you think there is air in it so you dont lose the pieces at least ...it only happened to me once hope i helped?

Good point. You do have a rail bushing in there, don't you dropzone? Every now and then someone says 'what bushing' or 'I don't know where it went'. There is normally about a 1/16" gap between my bodies and valves. If your line is pulling the valve further up into the body, that would be the cause of some problems. If the grip screws are touching anything moving, whack'em off and file them down. I never thought much about grip screws until I got a timmy to mess with, they are terrible about grip screws.

I'll have some macro fittings with me at the game. Team Warthog may look like horde, but we are on the alliance. :)

Yes the rail bushing is there. The rail is not designed well. It looks good, but the slide groove where the pin on the valve goes in is just straight. It doesn't have the twist offset. I don't think that that's helping anything. As for grip screws He'll have to get some new ones. I'm going to send 1 of my valves when he goes if he has any problems and I think His son Back shot will be taking my emag to use for a back up.

The rail is not designed well. It looks good, but the slide groove where the pin on the valve goes in is just straight. It doesn't have the twist offset. I don't think that that's helping anything.

The groove prevents the back half of the valve from turning during use. The milled "Z" in the stock rails also prevents the valve from shooting back if you remove the field strip screw with the air still attached.

Yeah, athomas, that is something that he realized after removing the valve several times. He kept having to realine the reference marks on the two halves of the valve because they were twisting.

I really like the look of the Alpha rails but if I continue to have a problem with it I may have to start looking for a stock ule rail if I can find one in pewter anodizing which are kind of hard to find.

Thanks Spider I appreciate the offer but I already got the fittings installed and switched back over to macro. Look for us at the game and say high. I will be with an 8 man team and we will all be wearing team Green Devil T-shirts unless we are geared up for game time. Then you will see me in Tiger Stripes, a Green V-force profiler, green tac vest with Green Devils patch on the front and blasting away at the horde with my beautiful pewter blue rt/ule.

All of the valves will twist a little if you lube the big reg oring. The slot keeps it from going too far. It's best to just twist it out that much before you chrony and it won't move any more. Otherwise your velocity will drop a little more than the same turn on your adjuster (bigger threads on the reg body).
