    Sydarm vs. classic valves

Are the sydarm valves the same thing as classic valves?

    Short answer:
Yes, except for the laser engraving on the side.

    tl;dr
Classic valves came with different levels as minor changes to the design/manufacture increased reliability, level 7 being the most current.
As Sydarm's have been around for a while (1992?) it could be an older level valve. The differences were somewhat minor, ranging from power tube springs instead of the current spacers, power tubes that were removable from the valve body instead of being welded (soldered?), etc.
They will work off of CO2 (of course) and HPA. The body/rail/frame/barrels/bolts/springs/o-rings are directly compatible with classic mags.

Sydarm valves are NOT the same as classic valves. They are not interchangeable. If I remember correctly, a Sydarm valve will not accept a Level X kit either. Alot of the soft parts are interchangeable, but the assemblies as a whole are not

No, a Sydarm Valve is fed CO2 from the 12 Gram above the valve through a small hole in the valve assembly.

A classic valve has a large input opening located on the side of the valve that a pressure fitting is attached to.

            Cheers
