    HELP! Mag won't fire sometimes...

Ok, I'm very new to Mags. With that said, I'm having a problem with my LV-10, X-Valved, ULT, Inteliframe Mag.

I can air it up and it fires for a while. Then at some point the trigger has resistance, but the gun won't fire. The bolt isn't stuck forward, it's stuck back. Is this bolt stick?

    Thanks!

Make sure that the field strip screw is not too tight. Make it only hand tight. Check the frame screw as well.

You also might need to add shims to the level 10.

Sometimes, bolt stick will only be a milimeter or so. See if pushing the bolt back with a squeegie makes it click and the trigger resets.

If so, that is bolt stick. Add shims to the LVL 10 and you might not be using a long enough bolt spring. Remember, the different bolt springs are for different velocities.

As mentioned, make sure your field strip screw is only finger tight, not torqued down.

You can also check your sear for a very tiny crack, especially around the hole.

If it doesn't fully reset followintg a shot, then you are getting bolt stick and need to go to the next larger carrier. Make sure you remove all shims when doing this to make sure you don't induce shim related leaking in the process.

If the bolt hits a breach block and won't vent or reset, then add shims to shorten the distance that the bolt needs to move to vent the excess air.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Thanks for all the help, guys. I have my Mag purring like a kitten again. A new carrier size and some fresh oil and that's it!
