ACE board in Emag, I need specs

We have made some progress with this. Thanks to Sajjad, Looper, VeeWee and KCs-RTule.
Sajjad has measured his X-Mag frame and body!

Looper has measured his as well.

I am going to have my Emag lowers and Phoenix body and rail milled to accept an ace board, but I need some measurements.

First off if these specs are already documented somewhere just point me in the right direction, I haven't been able to find them.

Otherwise I need to get someone with an xmag to measure some things for me.

pictures would be a bonus, shoot me a pm and I will give you my email to send them to.

What are the length, width and depth of the recess in which the board sits?

What is the position of the switch and any screw holes?

Does the board sit on standoffs?

What is the distance of the recess from the front frame screw and or edge of the trigger frame?

What is the diameter of the hole in the bottom of the breach?

How much clearance into the rail do I need?

What is the distance from the front frame screw to the hole in the breach?



Sorry for all the questions and thank you very much for taking the time to get these measurements.

PS. It would be nice if at least two people got these measurements so I could be absolutely sure before sending things out to be machined.

Got this from Papa_Smurf in response to a PM I sent him:

Do you have an Xmag? What you need is very similar, a channel for wires along the top of the frame, a window all the way through the rail up front where the board will sit and a hole centered under the feedneck. and a hole tapped in the frame to hold the board.

I'll get measurements of the hole for the eye.

Their are 3 different types of frames as far as milling for an ace board goes. E-mag, ULE-Emag and X-Mag. The X-mag frame is the only frame that can fit the ace board without modification. Some later generation ULE emags used X-mag frames. But, most emags used either emag frames or ULE-emag frames.

Emag:
The front and rear of the Emag frame need to be milled to allow a ace board to sit down inside the frame under the rail.
A board mounting hole needs to be drilled and tapped to alow board mounting. The side of the frame must be drilled to allow adjustment of the board pot tweak.

ULE-Emag
Only the rear of the ULE-Emag frame must be milling down to Match the height at the front of the frame. A board mounting hole needs to be drilled and tapped to alow board mounting. The side of the frame must be drilled to allow adjustment of the board pot tweak.

Xmag
The X-mag frame does not require frame modifications.

Body/Rail Eye Milling:
The ace board looks up though the rail at the bottom of the breach where the "chambered" paintball sits. To do this a Hole must be drilled though the rail and the bottom of the bod

Rail Switch & Board milling:
A slot on the passenger side of the rail must be milled to accommodate the on/off switch of the ace board. Additionally the underside of the front of the board needs to be milled to accommodate the components of the board that stick up past the frame.

Papa or I will post up measurements as soon as we get them.

I am currently measuring my Euro XMag frame with digital verniers and drawing up a plan view in Autocad. I will make my file available to the group so that we can hopefully get 2nd and 3rd measurement from other sources to confirm.

No promises on time line; wife, two kids and a job keeps the spare time tight.
