    Classic RT help

Ok, so a friend just picked up a classic rt. We were told when he bought it that it leaked out the back. No big deal. We got a rebuilt kit and rebuilt the reg. Tonight we gas up the marker for the first time and it just vents out the back and wont shoot.

I know this is probably asked all the time but I couldn't find and answer.

    Any help is appreciated.

have u tried firing it? mine vented out the back as well but after firing a couple times it stopped, other than that u can try screwing the velocity adjuster out a bit.

Yep, tried firing it. Trouble is, the valve doesnt set the sear. You cant "fire" it as there isnt enough pressure. Tried adj. the velocity also.

        Anyone?

Field opens this weekend and I would like my bud to be able to use his new marker.

Would this happen if the wrong o-ring is placed somewhere?

Make sure you have all the parts in the right places, and that you have all the parts. A friend of mine gased up his RT and it just started on full auto. Come to find out, his valve pin wasnt installed.

everything should be in the right place. I made sure to put it back together the way I took it apart.

Why does a rt valve usually vent out the back?

if everything's put together properly and functioning like it should, no. only time you'll see that is if you turn the velocity nut in waaaay too far. or if you have an insane amount of pressure feeding into the valve assembly (i think that actually showed up on one of Zak's vids).
