    Emag project

So Im getting a set of Emag lowers
and I want to put them on my classic RT
I know I need to drill out the rear frame hole to accomodate the banjo field strip bolt, and Im wondering if there are any other issues I will need to address
Im concerned about the on/off. Will I be able to use the stock RT on/off or will I need to use an Emag on/off? And if an emag on/off is required will it work in the single oring topped hole thats in the RT classic, or will I need to mill it so it fits the 2 oring arrangement?

You would be better off selling the classic rt and picking up a used emag or rt pro valve, rail, and body.

I had considered that Tunaman, but Ive never had an issue with the classic, and Ive never seen a classic RT Emag
is there a performance reason I should switch to a RTpro/Emag/Xvalve?

For one thing, the rails are different. The Classic RT has the zlock groove in the body and not the rail. I dont even know if it would work. I'll look into it right now...

Well it looks like the zlock pin is short enough on the Classic RT valve to fit in any rail, so I would think it would work. You will have to change the pin length to .712 for sure, and the on/off assy's are the same. Have fun.

So if I shorten the on/off pin it should work? excellent!!!!!
            thanks for the input Tunaman
when I get it put together and working Inm going to be looking for one of your fine triggers

missed a post, are you saying I might run into issues using the air through rail?

It should work fine. Dont DRILL the hole bigger either. MILL the hole to 11/32" and it will be alot smoother finish. These suckers are notorius for leaking around that banjo bolt hole

im not sure why the Z pin would matter, wouldn't you have to use the classic RT rail anyhow in order to gas the vavle up? i assume the only work you're talking about is widening the field strip screw hole in the Emag trigger frame to the same size as the banjo bolt hole for the RT trigger frames.

The Zlock wont be a problem because Im going to use the original pf steel mainbody, I love the perforated front shroud on the classic RT

Let us know if it works for you. I was thinking about trying out the same thing.

wait. your going to use a rt classic rail, body and valve on emag lowers? what are you going to do for air? run a remote off of the 1/8 or a big gnarly macro line/steel line to an asa?

Alright, I got the lowers installed
11/32 is real close for a RT banjo bolt, but near the head of the banjo bolt there is a slight raised ring that is slightly larger than 11/32, a very light amount of sanding in the new frame hole and it fits fine, no air leaks, and it shoots as usual in mech mode
it doesnt have a board in it, yet, but Damon over at Scenario Dreams is going to hook me up with a Universal Tboard, then will see how it rips
