    Removing Carrier

    Quick help if anyone could.

I'm trying to remove the carrier from the X-valve so I can get to the PT O-ring to replace it. Is there a tool I need to remove it? I'm staring at the carrier now and I can't seem to shake it loose. Please help.

A Q-tip has worked nicely for me, shove it through and pull it on out.

i have the same problem, I tried bent paper clips in the form of a tooth pick..didn't work. The Q-tip sounds like a gread idea.

I would be worried that the threads of the screw would put undue wear and tear on the carrier o-ring.

I actually bought a set of dental picks for this exact reason (as well as others) off of eBay. They're much cheaper than you'd expect. 3 picks for $5 shipped.

Q-tip does sound like a great idea.

I agree, used the screw a few times but didn't like having those threads directly on the o-rings sealing surface. Q-tip works perfect.
