Does anyone here have experience with the Raptor Rex regulator? I just received one, and before I swap it on my tank I would like to know how to operate it. I know where the fill is and the output. But what I really need to know is how I turn off the output (so when I fill the tank it doesn't just come out the output port. Also how do I adjust eh output pressure, which way to I turn the knob (I assume its the knob no the end opposite the threading for the tank.

Let me try to find a manual for you. But I don't think the raptor regs have an on/off. It's under Air America Raptor. It's on walker's site he just ask that you download the manual rather then opening it directly due to bandwidth I believe. -

I updated my orginal post with the link to page that has the manual. I think the only way to turn off output is to decrease the pressure till it's off. No it will not degas that way. The only way you should turn it off, using the adjuster is as follows. Turn the adjuster out 1-2 turns, shoot gun a few times, and repeat until the gun cant shoot anymore. If you do not do it that way, you will cut the piston o-ring in the vent hole. Use a slide check or on/off lever (Palmers has some I think) to turn it on or off. I had one recently.
No on/off, so you either turn off the pressure like the above or use a ball valve or slide check, but the guy that put the on/off for me said the slide checks don't hold pressure well.
Right tight for higher pressure.
Do to the face they're old, the seals pretty much are not fresh and they weigh way too much for what they do. Also, you need either a slide check or an on/off ball valve and somewhere along the line, a gauge to measure input pressure. Unless you have a vest that mounts the tank vertical or face walking sideways, or you don't mind the weight, they are just impractical IMO. You'd have to throw another $15+ to set it up properly.
It was nothing but a pain in the butt for me. I would have rebuilt it, but as you know, they don't make them anymore and just caused more pain for me, randomly leaking and such. I got it torn off and just stuck with a preset.
Consider how much you need this because rebuilding it at this point requires more effort.Comment

well i got the regulator on auction for $15 shipped, so Im not totally against getting it set up right. I do have another plee for help though.
I want to add the guage and valve as linked to previously, as well as add a macroline (its microline right now) I prefer it to run through the grip, but if you have a genius ide to do otherwise, please tell. I cant do the large loop from valve to tank very easily because fo the drop, so thats most likely out of the question. Anywho, heres a few pictures to show whats going on, its a little cramped, which is why I ask for help.
