    Bolt spring question

Does anyone know why using a bolt spring that is too long will occasionally cause your mag to lock up? I just don't understand the mechanics of that. The effect is similar to bolt-stick, yet the bolt spring is strong and the carrier is certainly loose enough.

If bolt is sticking in the fully extended position ? .... Likely spring coils are over lapping causing the stick.
If bolt is sticking back just short of sear reset, then check and play with some other bolts.
I have found that the machining of the bolts & inner stem vary just enough that trying another bolt some times does the trick. ( This with Level 7 classics at least )
