Technical question re. changing guages on a tank reg

Take a look at this Conquest adjustable reg:

I know that the output gauge and the 90 degree macro fitting can be swapped around so that both gauges are on the same side. My question is, can I safely do that myself or should I go to my local proshop and have them do it?

There are two things I want to do - have both gauges on the same side and change the 90 degree macro fitting for a 90 degree male QD.

Technically, this is no different than changing fittings on a marker, a coiled remote or a vertical reg. But last time I changed the fill nipple on a crossfire reg, the burst disk blew when I got it filled, so I'm a bit paranoid on doing these changes on the Conquest reg

both guages can be on the same side. just be careful to not strip or double thread them.

if you feel weird or uncomfortable doing it take it to the local pro shop or airsmith.
