    Pump Mag Questions

Well, sad that i sold my pump mag, but managed to scramble a bit of money to build a cheaper piece. But, i was wondering:

Should i anodize my rail before or after pump milling it? Dont know if there is a difference, but just making sure...

If i switched out my level 10 in my X-valve to a level 7, should it pump fine?

    Thanks

Although i don't have a pumpmag, these are my guesses:

Even if you anodize it after the milling, the pump arm will still rub and wear away the ano.
I don't see a problem in changing the bolt, just remember to chrono everytime you make the swap.

wearing the anno is fine by me, i just thought there could be a little tolerance issue.

Yea, the bolt question seems simple enough, just making sure. Thanks

I don't think the tolerances on the slot are that tight, but i have no numbers to back my statement. So don't take my word for it.

With a pump kit the Level 10 bolt will prove to be problematic. I'd strongly suggest you save yourself the brain aneurysm, and for simplicity's sake just use a Level 7 anyway. If you need a Level 10 for a pump you need to have your pumping arm looked at

As for the rail, as with pretty much any piece of paintball equipment, I'd say mill it before you anodize it. It won't get knocked out of spec so far that the pump kit wont work...
