    Simple question.. Help please?

Ok, so I need a clamping feedneck for my tac one.

How do I remove the old one? Just unscrew it? It seems really tight.. Is it welded or something?? I have the newest version tac.

Also, what kind of feedneck do I need? I was reading another topic, and I looks like an angel threaded CCI 1" one will work.

Also, is the gas thru front foregrip removable?

I did what someone else suggested and dunked the feedneck in hot water for about 5 mins then stuck some duct tape in a vice and put the feedneck in it and just kept twisting until it came off. They put a fair amount of medium loctite in it, so thats why its so hard. The gas through grip is removable as well. Its twists off fairly easy and has an o-rig attached to it.

The Tac body is Angel threaded for the feed neck. So it's fairly easy to find the neck of your preference. Good hot water will loosen the locktite, just make certain that you get all of the excess out of the body threads before you put in the new one. And dry & oil the c-clip to prevent rust. I highly recommend the strap wrench witch prevents marring the feedneck. Heck you can sell a standard neck in good condition for $ 15/20. plus if you ever get into changing regs on bottles the strap is a must.
        Have fun
