Yep, while I am waiting for the spacer and rebuild kits to arrive, I assume that it is okay to sand down the current spacer until it fits for now? And when the power tube tip is tight, should you be able to hear the spacer slide back and forth in there? It doesn't have any more than a fraction o a millimeter but it's enough to hear it moving when I shake the valve. My spacer was .220, don't know the measurement now but it's small enough that I can usually get off a few dozen shots before it leaks.

Also, I have a leak out through the velocity adjuster. It is not a large leak, extremely small, just enough to hear. But I am quite sure that it does not belong, never knew of a marker that was meant to leak. Since I am unfamiliar with that half of the valve (not that there is much to it) what could the problem be? I expect a bad o-ring on the inside of the adjuster or some dirt.

    I'll get straightened away eventually

Umm, if I changed the bottom teflon o-ring with the top teflon o-ring, would that help my problem for the time being?

Edit* Wait, there should be a teflon o-ring in the outer part of the on/off, correct? And then after the brass piece (forgive me for the lacking terminology) there should be a "normal" o-ring, and under that there should be one final teflon o-ring?
So the order (from outside in) is teflon, plain, and teflon? Or should the order be teflon, teflon, and then plain?
I'll see what Tom has on you tube.

    Thank y'all very much!

      Hi Wanna B Sniper

I'm the guy that helped you at Overkill on Sunday.

Generally the leak out the back is overpressure. If the velocity is below 300fps it shouldn't vent out the back. You shouldn't have an issue since you are using a level 7 venturi bolt. If you are getting leaking out the back when you increase the velocity and the velocity is still below 300 fps, then your regulator piston assembly may be worn out.

You can sand down the spacer to make it shorter. It will allow the powertube oring to sit against the back of the bolt stem while the bolt is held in place by the sear. If the spacer is too long as it appears yours is, then the oring is held too far back and the bolt stem never makes contact with the oring to seal the powertube.

The teflon orings only seal the on-off area from leaking. The top teflon oring shuts the air off from the front chamber. That's the one that caused the psst, psst, psst leak out the front when you originally held the trigger. The bottom one prevents air from leaking out the bottom of the on-off assembly. They sit differently and thus seal agains the pin slightly differently. I was able to switch the two to allow the leaking top one to be used in the bottom without leaking, while the better bottom one worked well in the top without leaking because it had a better inner surface where the top of the pin made contact.

There should be two orings above the on-off top. The small white teflon oring sits inside the yellowish urethane oring. These are the two orings that are farthest inside the on-off hole. The next teflon oring is inside the top of the bottom section of the on-off assembly. the brass top section sits on top of the oring when the two halves are put toghether. There is also a yellowish urethane oring around the base of the on-off bottom assembly.

I will bring my mag kits with me to Overkill this Sunday. I will be able to do much more for you than last Sunday.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Andy: Thank you very much, couldn't make it out this Sunday though. But I am expected at the AWL meet & greet next Sunday (June 22). I have sanded the spacer down and put about a quarter of a hopper through it on Wednesday... Very impressed! It will not do for games quite yet but I should have a spacer kit and rebuild kit here by the end of the month.
