    Tapping Vert Adapter

Ok i need to tap some threads in front of my mag's vert air adapter. It needs to be completely straight, not angled to the left or right at all. Since this is a rounded surface, what method can i use to make sure i drill a hole in the exact middle, thanks.

Use a center finder and center drills to start it off.

attach it to the rail, use a V block to hold it in place(can be a piece of wood with a V shapped channel cut into it)...you can also use a small drill press vice(good luck getting it perfect though)

anyhow use a level to hang the rail vertical(will basically do it by itself with the weight of the rail, but since u want it perect use a level to double check), find the highpoint on the vert adapter, centerpunch, predrill, drill, tap

a V block will hold a round object much better than any vice and also not mark it all up.....google image search if you cant picture it
