    flashing 1.8

I looked thru the thread about the 1.8 but cant find this problem so..

I flashed my euroxmag with the new 1.8. Says Programming..Verifying..ok.
I unplug the wires and reconnect the wires to the board. I get nothing. No power. Doesnt turn on. Any ideas?

There are two flashes for the software; a "Flash" and a "EEPROM". One of them is used from 1.7, IIRC its the EEPROM file. Make sure you installed BOTH on the gun.

If you did, check all the stupid things, like make sure the trigger magnet isnt too close to the HES. If its too close when you turn the gun on nothing happens and looks like the thing is dead.

If you are missing a file shoot me a PM and I can send it over via Email.

I meant in general you should save the eeprom incase you want to revert but when you flash from anything to 1.8 you dont have the to flash the eeprom, am i right or does the manual lie to me and i have flashed like 10 guns incorrectly.

I thought there were corrections or something done leading up to the 1.7 eeprom, but I could be wrong.Ive had some old versions of Xmod and I always made sure I flashed both the newest software files on when they were available. I also know there was an issue that I think 1.7 fixed regarding a bug where the gun would not retain a setting (at random) after you dialed it in. For example - my etach would never hold the ROF setting, and it would go back to 8 every time. One of these updates fixed that. It was a quirky bug, it didnt happen on every gun, or with just that setting. So in other words, when Paul made a new version of something there was usually a reason. However the older EEproms should work, IIRC.

What were you running before you flashed it?

well only the 1.8 hex is avalible and in the manual it says only to flash using the provided hex's so... who knows settings work on the guns i have flashed.

As to ICOM's issue, i have had a gun no scroll 1.8 upon flash and no turn on after flash myself. The issue was a dead battery.

Long time ago when tuna was fixing my gripframe he said me might of done something to the board. The Board would flash Low Battery everytime. But you can stil adjust the settings on it. That is why i think its my board but i dont see why you can't flash it still...
