Dual ball detents vs. Single ball detents

I have a question. Is it better to have dual AGD ball detents on the body than single ball detents, is it a significant difference? If so, is it possible to do some work on a AGD ULE body and put an additional ball detent and how can it be done?

logically if you have 2 detents each one can go into the body less distance leave a smaller chance to shoot out the detent. also they might be genteler on paint.

If you have a force feed loader, it COULD feed paint past the detent. So if you're paranoid of this possibility, look into dual detents. That's pretty much the only advantage over single detents that i see. Having said that, i only have classic mags with nubbings so i don't know what i'm talking about.

I've not noticed a different using 1 or 2. I have noticed a difference between using stock AGD detents and Kila detents. (you can adjust the detent pressure a kila detent).

If you ever shoot out/break a detent and don't have any backups, you still have one in there and can continue to play .

How does a detent get "shot" out?

It's not the threaded part that gets shot, it's the ball that's inside. It's a tension loaded ball that moves with every shot. So it wears with every shot as well. As the diameter gets smaller with wear, it finally goes through the openning.

              Am i close?

Yeah, I've had one, and only one, stock agd detent break on me. That little white ball needs to stay lubed else it wears out quick and one day.... FOOOOOOOM out it goes.

That's why use kila detents now.
