Inconsistent Velocity

I have an Automag RT classic with a level 10 upgrade. I have yet to get the thing to fire consistently. I'm getting like 100+fps variation between shots. One shot it'll be like 200, then 300+. I've heard the velocity creeps up when you fire faster, but surely it can't be this bad...

I've completely disassembled, cleaned, re-lubed and re-greased everything. I've tried different lubricants, too. Right now I'm using Super Lube. I've tried different HPA tanks, too. I have a Crossfire and CenterFlag tank (or more specifically, regulators).

Ideas?

Take the whole valve apart, clean everything, rinse all the O-rings, and dry it off. Then put it back together, double checking everything is in good condition. Make sure your regulator seal isn't messed up.

What happens when you fire, release the trigger, wait 5 seconds, then fire it again? What happens when you fire it, hold the trigger down, then quickly fire it again?

BTW if you're looking to switch to an X-valve, I would take the classic RT valve and body off ya. I'm pretty sure with just a brass bushing for the fieldstrip screw, the classic RT rail is compatible with other bodies and valves. LMK!

Already did this once and replaced everything that came in the parts kit. I guess I could try again.

Probably 40-50 fps variation in shots.

Cuases the velocity to jump up like 100fps. If I use the suggested method for the chrono, I end up with like 200fps for single shots.

I've actually got a whole second RT mag (just needs a new sear and has no level 10), but I don't want to sell any parts until I get one working perfectly. I much prefer the look of the classic body, too. Is there any significant difference between the x-valve and the RT?

if this is an old RT, only the banjo bolt, and the outer final diameter of the valve differ


What is your tank outputting?

My tanks output around 850+. I have one that's around 800, but it doesn't work very well. I get a lot of bolt stick and it will only single shot (very little rt, and it usually causes bolt stick or short stroking).

For the regulator? I think the manual stated to "lightly grease" it, but I'm not really sure how "light" "lightly greased" is.
