    One weird Mag rail

I bought a used X-valve Mag a month ago and there is this shaft milled into the left hand side of the rail. Everything works fine and all, but I'm curious to what it is. It is not a RT Pro rail, as it does not have the letters etc. Any ideas hat it is? I'll post picks later...

Pictures would help but to make a guess I would think pump mag rail... does the slot run from the front of the rail to the bolt area with a slight ramp at the bolt? If so, it's a pump rail.

What ^^^^^^ he said.... it's more than likely a pump rail. The best fix for that to keep from damaging your gun is to trade the rail out for one that don't have the slot in it... Otherwise after about 300 shots your valve will turn to putty and become violent, anti social and you may even lose a few fingers....

So yeah... you definitely need to get rid of it soon...

      DM...

BTW... I have a rail for trade...

Unless it has a hole at the end that goes down into the grip frame, then it may have been milled for a front LPR line.

but yeah, probably 'just' a pump rail
