    MicrMag Questions

I am sure this thread will be ongoing as I am not too familiar with the micromag. I love the look of them and I am wanting to build a mag based on them. I have a lead on a micro body that will be the base. So, for my first question:

What sear and pin does the micromag use?

Some micros use their own pin that screws into the body. Other micros use a regular AM/MM, these are kind of hard to explain, but basically the wings on a grip frame hold the pin from falling out.

              Hey GP,
              What's up?
On my micromag bodies I had them tapped for an rt sear pin and that's what I'm running.

Blake! You finally found me on AO! lol

I may bring you the body once it gets here and let you take a look at it. Do you have your usual guy mill the body to accept the RT pins?

Another question....what kind of valve should I put in it? Should I go original and get a miro RT or Micro-e, or get the updated X valve? Will the micro body readily accept the X valve? Ok, that was 2 questions

Well the 1st question is a preferance one, I'd prefer to have a Micro labeled valve in a Micro.
Now to answer the 2nd the X can replace any Mag Valve except the original RTvalve, I run an X-Valve in one of my Micro's.

Does anyone know if the Spydermag mod will work on the PTP bodies?

The only reason I am looking into the Spydermag mod is due to the cost of the Hyperframe or E-Mag lowers. I am building this baby on a budget and if money becomes available later then better goodies will be purchased. With that in mind...

Does anyone know what Spyer frames will work on the Micro without having to remove the ASA? I supose a trip to the mill will fix some of the problems involved with a larger frame, but any input would be great!

I think a standard e-Spyder frame would fit. If not, the front end before the trigger guard can be chopped off. (In fact, I think there is one for sale somewhere in B/S/T)

The rocking-frame that you asked about in my sale thread will not fit and cannot be cut due to the layout of the trigger guard.

OK, forgive my ignorance here but I just wanted to be sure. Got my Micromag body today and I need some clarification about the sear pin. The hole looks to be threaded on one side. Does that mean it is PTP's special pin or is that what the standard AM/MM pin hole looks like? Thanks again guys!
