    ULE Feed Neck Removal

    Hello, All:

I would appreciate any feedback on the following questions.

    1) Do all ULE Mainbodies have a feed-neck which is installed by threads?

    2) If yes, what is the best method of removing the existing feed-neck? (Yes, un-screwing, but is any heat required, should one never do this, does one have to be careful of deforming or stripping something, etc.)

    3) Finally does anyone have any input on a good screw in replacement feed neck with angle threads that allows for clamping on the hopper?

    I appreciate your help,

    Mac

    1) Yes. They are angel threaded
    2) Strap wrench and musculls usually do the trick
    3) RPG Subzero, Redz, A+ (?)

Unless the previous owner put locktite or superglue on it, you just unscrew it... I was wondering the same thing till I just unscrewed it...

CCM seems to be liked by many as a replacement... some have a lever type latch I guess you can say, and others you use a allen key to tighten...

The feedneck come in different heights as well... Personally I prefer the no-rise or low rise ones...

      Hope this helps...

If it's not unscrewing, dip it in hot water a little bit and use a strapwrench. Don't forget to dry it afterwards.

            screw it ......

if your not going 2 keep the factory ULE feedneck , drill a 3/4 inch hole threw the neck & take a screwdriver 2 it ......
