Try 6 shims in the ULT, I have 7 in my mech ULE mag, 7 makes it go runaway crazy auto mode. 6 has no bounce. Check the o-rings in the on/off too, if they are really hard and crusty it might be time to change them out. Also, have you ever cleaned the valve out. I recently got a ULE mag with X-Valve and all the goodies. When i got it, it worked pretty good, it would chuff sometimes and had a slight leak. I cleaned it real good and replaced all the o-rings, now it works like a charm.

I think I had 5 shims and I pulled one out, I guess I'll have to put 2 more in and try that. I haven't cleaned out the valve and I have only replaced some of the o-rings so I guess that's my next step.
