    bolt reset too hard?

has any one ever had the problem where when the bolt resets there is a loud ping? similar to the m1 garand ejecting it's clip. it's kind of random but very annoying because i know if this goes on i'm going to be running through bumpers like crazy. i think i just need to tune the lvl 10 but i forgot how to start it off.

I think i've heard people say it makes that wound when short stroked, i've never done it though so i don't know.

i'm using the shortest spring that i have and it's always on a full trigger pull or when the trigger used to run away and go full auto on me or even when it rt's on me. if you need specs all that it is, is a xvalve with lvl 10 and a ult.

has your shortest spring been cut?
The early LVX had a spring that didnt have a nice flat end
if you are using that type of spring, the sound you hear might be the spring twisting on the return, possibly

What kind of reg are you using on your air tank? The centerflag regs tend to ping.

How about this: Is there a rubber bumper on the valve behind the bolt?

Another thing, with those clear bumpers, they have a lot of give. so they stretch out and become useless very fast. What I do is super glue the bumper to the valve, that makes it last a lot longer.

it's a newer one so the spring is flat

the tank reg i'm using is a preset centerflag hp. i've used the tank on other guns and i never hear a ping from it

interesting thought i was just planning on getting one of the bumpers for the classic and using it on my valve seeing how it is a bit stronger that the rt bumper

The RT bumper is good if you glue it down, the classic bumper will last forever. I have heard some people say they get bolt chipping with the classic bumper, others say it works fine.

Bumper is worn, replace it. Fixed it for me.

A pic of the bumper would be great, too see if it's worn or not.

so i'm pretty sure i just found the problem with the bumper. it kinda fell apart at the inner side of it.

It happens with the bumper. Glue a new one to the front face of the valve with a good epoxy (not one that will eat the urethane). Preventing the bumper from moving when compressed, will prevent the tearing of the bumper.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
