AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
sorry to threadjack, but i cant get my x-valve to fire with the red spring. any ideas?
I assume you started with the shortest spring? Was the gun firing ok then? If so, when you change to a stronger spring you'll have to increase your reg input pressure (turn up your velocity) to compensate for the stronger spring.
I know most everyone opened this thinking not again, and is getting ready to link me to the Official Level X problems thread. Only there is no problem, it works fine, I was reading on how to tune the Level X, and got to thinking when does it need to be tuned? Is it after X amount of shots? And the whole point is to have the shortest spring on there right? Thanks in advance for any help provided.

Tuning the level 10 mostly involves sizing the carrier so that it maintains the powertube oring size with respect to the bolt stem. This allows perfect fit with minimal friction. Once it is matched, it should not need to be done again until the oring is worn out. Even then, it may only require that you go down a carrier size to compensate for the wear on the inside of the oring. I have kept powertube orings in my level 10 for over 100000 shots wilthout any problems. If you take the valve to an another gun, it should work just fine there as well. Other factors may change how many shims are needed or how stiff a spring you need, but the carrier sizing does not need to be tuned when switching the same valve between different guns.
Alway use the longest spring that will allow you to shoot consistently at the velocity that you want to operate the gun. The short gold spring works on all setups and will allow you to shoot consistently, even at low velocities such as indoor facilities. The red middle spring is the best overall performer giving consistent operation and soft protection. The long silver/grey spring is the softest but may not work consistently at the desired velocity on all setups
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
