    pneumag questions

I am slowly starting my pneumag project. I have a couple questions.

    1. What exactly are the differences between the retro valve and xvalve. Is the only difference the weight?

    2. What would be the optimal tank output pressure for a pneumag? I will be running a gas through grip that I plan on tapping for an lpr, will that increase the necessary tank output pressure?

    3. I saw on youtube a pneumag with a stock classic valve, what type of on/off would you use to allow it to be walkable?

    Thanks in advance.

The differences are weight and the retro can't take a ULT without being milled

You won't need a higher pressure output, it will just cut the efficiency down, and that will happen no matter what your tank output is, although the LPR should be around 80 psi from what i've read.

Since a pneumag uses air pressure to actuate the sear you don't necessarily need a lighter on/off, but for the lightest trigger you will need a ULT in a classic.

    Thanks in advance.

How much of a difference is there between the ULT and the rt on/off?

roughly 15 gram pull on the ult and roughly 3+ pound pull on the stock on off.

If you're talking about a pneumag, then yes, just set the lpr, it'll be like an electro.

And while arzo is right about the differences in weight for the trigger pull, that doesn't gauge how it will be with a pneumatic trigger frame, what i mean by it will be lighter is the output from the lpr can be lower with a ULT so less stress is put on the o-rings in the MSV-2, meaning that it doesn't take as much force to actuate, although i expect that this difference is in the matter of a few ounces.

That is what I was afraid, that using something other than a ULT would be rough on the pneumatics. Is it common to use the RT in oppostion to the ULT?

I think you misunderstood me, i was just saying that a ULT will allow for a lighter pneumag trigger but it will not be that much lighter, so it's not worth getting a ULT, it won't be any harder on the pneumatics to use an RT on/off. In fact, i'm fairly certain that's what most people have used.
