Breaking paint...Dont' know why

Hi everyone. Last weeekend My main mag was in pieces, so I picked up my trusty back up and played. It's pretty much a stock automag, Classic and Level 7. I can't shoot insanely fast with it, but I was still breaking paint. It was all the way down the barrel, so I think it was breaking in the breach. However, I don't think that I was chopping it, because it wasn't getting paint back in the feedneck. I could b e wrong though. anyways, I don't know if this is a common problem or not. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated, as always. I think my main question is, "How to tune a regular mag?" My other mag is a X-Valve with level 10, so I am familiar with that, but a little clueless about this back up that I picked up a few months ago. Thanks everyone.

What hopper were you using? It it was chopping, there would certainly be some paint on the bolt when you clean it.

Theres no real tunning to a level 7 bolt. But you could check to see if it has the right size spacer in it. Also look at your barrel nubbin an see if its bent or sticking out to far. It could be the issue also... Other than that if you dont want it any more you could always give it to me....

I once had a wire nubbin that folded upon itself inside the barrel and then the mag would belch liquid paint and the bolt would jam.
Check for a fubar'd nubbin.

Also do the TK bounce test for your paint. Drop from a height of 6 feet onto smooth concrete.

function TK_bounce_test(paintballs) {
if(breaks < 5 drops){
return fragile;
}
if(breaks > 4 drops || breaks < 9 drops) {
return average;
}
if(breaks > 9 drops) {
return tough;
}
}

everyone already mentioned this, but sometimes the wire nubbins can cause problems. There were 2 different wire ones that ive seen: 1 has a loop on the end that protrudes into the barrel, the other just has a kink bent in the wire so it looks like the top of a triangle is in the barrel. I had problems with the circle one once, it got bent up in the barrel and I was shooting spraypaint till I figured it out. You say no paint in the feedtube which sounds more like too tight of a bore....or maybe paint that got too humid and expanded.

Seems stupid but I had the problem last week, I didnt have the second piece of my two piece JJ barrel all the way in and it was just loose enough to chop the balls to shreds.Looked cool though it was like a spray bottle on the fine mist setting of paint coming out
