    Micro mag upgraded

Just wondering...just got my mag back from AGD, had x-valve and ule trigger installed:
gold spring, carrier #1 3shims, ule no shims.
Went out to the field and i noticed the trigger was getting no repsonsive sometimes, de-gas and gas up again.
Noticed that the bolt was not returning fully...Bolt sticking out half a cm....when pushed back, can hear a clink and will shoot..is this a brake in problem or do i start messing around with the shims in the valve or ule?

Take the valve out and drop the bolt in by itself. If there is any rubbing at all, then you need to sand down the bolt tip just a bit. Those bodies had issues with the level 10 bolts due to the smaller id of the chamber. If the valve doesn't sit perfect, then you get a bit of rub and could get bolt stick.

If the bolt fits without any problems, then you are getting standard bolt stick. Use a larger carrier size. Always use the same white powertube oring when changing carriers. Remove the shims when doing a carrier tune-up so that you don't get any shim induced leaking.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

If the bolt is sticking after it encounters a jam, add shims to the powertube until the problem no longer occurs.

If it is bolt sticking on dry fire, use more oil. If that doesn't fix it, see if going up a half carrier size (use the same carrier o-ring) solves the problem. Remember, you want the largest carrier that doesn't leak.

To expand on this, you only need to add shims if it encounters a jam but does not vent air. If it encounters a jam and vents air but does not reset, then adding shims will not help and you will need a larger carrier size. Also, if it fires but does not reset, adding shims won't help either as the bolt has already moved far enough to release air.

double checked the fit..its ok ,,i did notice though that the bolt spring is tighter on one end then the other (to slip over the bolt)....i am wondering if the tighter end should be at the bottom so that the bolt returns easier when fired
