macromag and problems with valves?

I have a micromag and when i air it up with a clasic valve right away it starts to do fully automatic dry fire and leaks out the barrel like none other. Then when i put an Xvalve in it it shoots one shot then wont shoot any more but it will return the sear piston the the back of the trigger..... any suggestions on what is wrong???

For the classic, it sounds like you are missing the on/off top teflon o-ring or you have your on/off pin in upside down (the groove should be towards the gripframe). Hold the trigger while gassing up the gun. If it leaks air, or gushes, or goes full auto, the problem is the on/off top o-ring. Try flipping the on/off top over too.

For the Xvalve, does it only fire on air up without you pulling the trigger and then won't fire when you pull the trigger? Please elaborate.

with the x the lvl 10 could be sticking in the body tolerances in the micros were kinda tight for the lvl 10 sanding helped fix this see if its bolt stick by droppng the bolt itself through if it sticks then you have solved that issue fyi the other is described above

The on off pin in the Xvalve will be too long for the micromag. God only knows what the right size would be...

ok thank you all! and for the xvalve secretweapon when i gas it up it airs up fine then when i pull once it will fire one shot then no more and i have another mag that i put my xvalve in and it works just fine so maybe i will just have to use that till i contact tracy.

Check to make sure your sear pin in installed correctly. If it backs out it will cause the gun to fire non stop as soon as it is air'd up. It tends to back out on Micros. I could have fallen out all together.

Ok well i just checked to make sure that the on/off pin was in correctly and it was also the sear was installed correctly aswell and i realized that it does not fire non-stop till i pull the trigger would this change any suggestions?

Is this the classic valve that does this?
Are you saying that when you pull the trigger it goes full auto?

If it does, you aren't getting your on/off to seal off due to a bad on/off top o-ring, or perhaps (what I am suspecting) that your trigger rod is too short.

When your marker is gassed up and your safety is on, the trigger rod should only be the thickness of a credit card from the back of your trigger.

A too-short trigger rod will also cause your sear to get rounded where it engages the bolt resulting in full auto fire.

Check your sear for wear.

well the sear rod pushes the trigger about an inch farther forward and i will check the sear tomorow.

when you say the top oring, are you talking about the white one that is at the back of the valve when you pull the on/off stuff out? or the brown one that is around it?

Yes, the hard white .25" O.D. nested inside the softer brownish-clearish o-ring all the way inside the on/off area.

so i changed out the white oring/spacer thingy and well.... now the white thingy wont fit into the outer oring by just the littleist bit. I try to push it down and it goes in then i take off the pressure from my screwdriver that i am using to keep it in and it decides to pop back out. So the obivious next question is, Is that thing susposed to go inside the oring or are my efforts hopeless? and when i just had it on top of the oring and put the rest of the stuff in, I aired it up and held the trigger at the same time then let go of the trigger and it did the same thing. Change out the outer o-ring then. It might be swolen from age, or the wrong size or something. The 2 o-rings should nest to provide the seal.

Don't use a screwdriver to keep them nested, you can nick/cut them and ruin them. The entire on/off assembly should hold everything together.
