Tac one problem / newbie question.

I got my new Tac One and its really nice but I'm having an issue. When I fire it rapidly 4 or 5 times the air pressure drops off and it takes a second or two to repressurize. I shouldnt be able to pull the trigger faster than the gun can shoot so where do I start looking for the problem or adjustment needed?

I will take it to play tomorrow anyways but would like it running better. The manual that came with it doesnt give me any idea of where to start.

    Thanks

Whats the pressure that the gun needs?
My tank is 3000 psi should it be 4500?
I'm also running a remote. The pressure getting to the gun should be 800 to 1000 psi the way I understand it. Did I get it wrong?

he means pressure output from the tank, not the pressure it can hold. It should be a high pressure tank, which is usually set at 800-850psi not a LP tank which it sounds like you have.

My tank is a WGP aluminium 50 cu inch tank that says its a 800 psi output.

The gun came with the shortest bolt spring installed. Would increasing the springs length help?

from what i've heard you need about a case and a half of paint through a x-valve before its broken in.

You shouldn't have shootdown even before it's broken in as all guns are tested before AGD sends them out. As has been said it sounds like an output air pressure issue. Make sure your tank regulator is working correctly, make sure your tank is full. If possible borrow a buddies tank and see if it works. This happens to my Tac One when the tank gets low on air.

                  Hope this helps

Yes I will get my Pure energy tank with Maxflo back from my son who's borrowing it. I will try that one today.

                    Thanks

You said you were running remote. You might have some "Strangulation" going on there? I would suggest removing the remote line and screwing the tank direct to the ASA to eliminate it from the equation. If it works well then you know it is the remote.
Does the remote have a slide check. If so, is it open all the way?

The gun is 1/8" of a game that is a FOOT long!

Yes the slide check is open all the way. I will try the bottle directly as you suggest and I will try all the bottles I can get my hands on today, lol. I'll miss a few games but I'll have the help of some other ADG marker owners so I think with some patience I'll get to a solution. The bottle my son had is on my gun now. Its 68 CU so its a bit small but I know the regulator runs at 800 pretty much right on. I will look into an adjustable reg next week. I will of course take my other gun in case I can't use the new one. I'm going to play after all.

Thank you everyone for helping. I will post the solution so the thread will be complete.

                        Cheers

Yup the output of all my tanks was to low. They all claim to be 800 psi but none were. That is with the exception of the Maxflow regulator, it was spot on 800. The pressure was not enough and I borrowed a tank from a freind that runs at 900 psi. I also abandoned the remote line. The gun worked awesome after that and I played all day without any problems.

I will go and buy an adjustable regulator and tank tomorrow. Then I need to work on personalizing the trigger pull.

All in all a stellar first day with my new marker.

Thanks again to all who helped guide me in the right direction. I appreciate your help.

                          Regards
